Dining Out for Life 2012 Volunteer Opportunities

Hosts
Breakfast, lunch, or dinner April 26th, 2012
Be part of one of the most important groups of Dining Out for Life®. Represent Saint Louis Effort for AIDS as a Host at an assigned restaurant to greet diners and talk about the purpose of DOFL. Hosts can have an influence on diners to become clients, volunteers, and/or donors to EFA! For a short amount of time, Hosts make a big difference. We will give you all the resources and information you need to make this night a success!
Restaurant Champion
Breakfast, lunch, or dinner April 26th, 2012
This vital role will require inviting many of your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to join you for a dining experience at your favorite participating establishment. Being a Restaurant Champion allows you to enjoy more personalized time with those you have invited. Make this a social event for yourself and those dear to you!
Street Team
Monday – Saturday, March 26th – April 26th, flexible hours
Spread the word about Dining Out for Life® and Saint Louis Effort for AIDS in your neighborhood. Go to local businesses and other public places to hang posters and hand out dining guides. The more people who know about DOFL, the more who dine out, the greater the event! Get a group together or work independently.
Phone Team
Weekdays February – April
Reach out to restaurants and past Hosts to improve our participation this year. A script, along with all the information you need is provided. Good phone skills are all you need. Call from the EFA office. Individuals or groups are welcomed.
Materials Team
March 26th – 30th, morning and afternoon shifts
Assemble DOFL packets for restaurants and volunteers. Anyone can help. Work as one or in a group.
Delivery Team
Monday – Saturday, March 26th – April 26th, flexible hours
Deliver dining guides, posters, and other materials to participating establishments and other supporters in your area. Work as a team or do it solo.
Patrol Cars
April 26th, 5:30 – 9 pm
Rescue a Host in need of more materials. Patrol cars are designated an area of town and stocked with materials to deliver to a Host in case they should run short. Stop by the restaurants and see how things are going, if you so desire.
