How We Do What We Do
Throughout the year, special events help raise funds and awareness crucial for EFA to continue operating. Approximately 25% of our unrestricted funding comes from individual contributions and events.
Our largest fundraiser, Dining Out for Life (DOFL), is an annual event. On the last Thursday in April of each year, over 150 local restaurants donate a minimum of 25% of all food and beverage sales to our cause. Trained volunteers "host" at each restaurant to inform customers about who we are and what our mission entails. 100% of all funds that are raised in St. Louis stay in St. Louis!
We also offer Thirst for Life (TFL) annually. Similar to DOFL, this event involves coffee houses, bars and cafes donating a portion of their beverage sales to PAWS. Again, our volunteers "host" at each establishment to let everyone know about our mission and goals.
