EFA Office Support
Volunteers are needed to staff the agency’s reception desk, assist with on-going office procedures, or manage special projects. Computer skills appreciated, but not required! Office support volunteers generally volunteer during normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
The Tuesday Team
Each Tuesday evening from 5:30-7:30 pm, volunteers gather at the EFA office to work together on projects for the agency. Everyone is invited! Fun and food are provided.
PAWS (Pets Are Wonderful Support)
Generate awareness of PAWS; assist in distributing food and pet supplies to clients; assist in fundraising efforts for PAWS program. Volunteers meet on the morning of the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9 am to noon at PetSmart in Brentwood to sort orders for our PAWS clients.
Friday Night Social
Held the fourth Friday of every month. A social opportunity for those infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. Free food, games, door prizes and more! Volunteers are needed from 5-9 pm to assist with set up, meal preparation and serving, games, raffles and more.
Speakers Bureau, Health Fairs and Community Outreach
Be a representative for Saint Louis Effort for AIDS! We need qualified speakers to present to various audiences about EFA's programs and services or take part in community outreach by representing EFA at a local health fair or other health related event. Your support will enable us get vital information out into our community.
Dining Out For Life Host
DOFL is a one-day AIDS awareness and fundraising event held in over 40 cities nationwide. In
St. Louis on the last Thursday in April, locally owned restaurants pledge 25-100% of their gross food and beverage sales to support EFA. Dining Out For Life Hosts represent Saint Louis Effort for AIDS at a participating Dining Out For Life establishment. Training is provided! This year's event is Thursday, April 20th, 2009.
Thirst for Life Host
Thirst for Life is an annual fundraising event involving the generous participation of establishments throughout the
St. Louis area, as well as the support of local businesses and corporate donors. Establishments pledge 25-100% of their gross beverage sales, including liquor, coffee, etc. to support EFA.
Special Events
Help make our special events happen! Volunteers assist in the planning, organization, promotion and staffing of special events that promote or fund the agency.
